The entire pool facility has a significant heritage value and the works involved the Groyne and Seawall repairs required to stabilize the foreshore and reconstruct the sea wall.
The groyne deck and paving was demolished and replaced with a self draining segmented concrete slab.
The original proposal was for the existing concrete patched stone to be re-patched but after commencement on site Civil Works was able to bring back to life and restore the original sandstone wall.
